Next, you’ll set up an Explore activity to give every student a common experience. You’ll practice a short Explain so students can make sense of the science to surface student thinking, then design an Elaborate extension that’s simple enough for a single class or rich enough to stretch across days. To wrap up, you’ll use a short Evaluate check to assess understanding and plan next steps. By the end, you’ll have a set of straightforward 5E routines to design student-centered units and lessons.

Thursday August 7, 2025 12:40pm - 1:40pm EDT
